Pete Wild admits Hartlepool United won't be able to strengthen their squad until a handful of players head out on loan.

Although Wild said he'd like to "freshen up" his options in the week, he admitted that fans would have to be patient as he looks to make some room within his ranks.

Pools welcomed three new additions in the immediate aftermath of Wild's appointment at the beginning of the month, with Jack Earing, who has since returned to his parent club after sustaining a foot injury, joining on loan from Barrow, Max Clark penning a deal until January and experienced defender Sam Lavelle arriving from League Two Grimsby Town.
