Hartlepool United have made two changes ahead of this afternoon's trip to unbeaten Boreham Wood.

Pools, who have lost 10 of their opening 15 league matches this term, face a daunting task against a Wood side who have won 13 and drawn two of their first 15 games this season and are already 10 points clear at the top of the National League.

Nonetheless, Pete Wild's side have been handed a big boost with the return of highly-rated Chelsea loanee Max Merrick, who starts in goal at Meadow Park. The 20-year-old could be set for a busy afternoon, with Luke Garrard's side having scored 40 goals in 15 matches, 25 more than Pools.
