Hartlepool United are set to kick-off their pre-season campaign on Saturday when they travel to Northern League Division Two side Seaton Carew as Pools prepare to begin an exciting new era in earnest.

A lot has changed at Victoria Park since new owner Landon Smith completed his takeover of the club on New Year's Eve, bringing to an end Raj Singh's tumultuous eight years at the helm.

While change was, initially at least, relatively incremental, Pools appear to have made huge progress on and off the pitch since the end of another underwhelming National League campaign.
