Player ratings as 10-man Hartlepool United come from behind to beat Hornchurch

Harry Johnson-Clark has dished out his player ratings after 10-man Hartlepool United battled back from a goal down to record successive National League victories for the first time since the beginning of August, beating Hornchurch 2-1.

26.10.26, 14:51 5 Minute Read

1 Max Merrick – 6.0

On his return from injury, Merrick consistently commanded his area throughout the game, however, he failed to claim the ball from a corner which led to the Hornchurch goal at the start of the first half.

52 Max Clark – 6.5

Clark was probably the most involved Pools player during the first half. He made a handful of good crosses and also launched a shot from 30 yards out which troubled the Hornchurch goalkeeper. With 20 minutes to go he was brought off for the introduction of Brooklyn Ilunga.
