Will Lee Clark be tempted to change a winning team?

As the saying goes, never change a winning team. Yet Clark could be tempted to tinker with his starting XI ahead of a mammoth trip to a Shots side who have been tipped to struggle this term but got the better of well-fancied Boston United on the opening day. While it's highly unlikely Clark will make wholesale changes, the former Newcastle United, Sunderland and Fulham midfielder might look to make one or two alterations to the team that breezed past Barrow last time out. In particular, Clark has a couple of decisions to make across his back line, with both right-back Jay Benn and versatile centre-half Liam Gibson forced off in the second half against the Bluebirds. Although Clark revealed on Thursday that Benn had trained all week, while Gibson had a "good chance" of being passed fit for selection, the Pools head coach could look to make the most of his strength in depth at Aldershot's Recreation Ground. After all, the impressive Neo Eccleston was excellent after replacing Benn last week and probably offers more in terms of athleticism and attacking threat while Maxim Kouogun, who was extremely unfortunate to have missed out in place of Gibson having been arguably his side's outstanding performer last term, was similarly assured in the final half an hour.
