Reiss McNally - Hartlepool United fans 'mean everything to us'

"Of course, we respect that they travel so far to come and watch us. I've spoken to some fans who told me they're leaving at half six in the morning for the Aldershot game, it's incredible."

Hartlepool United defender Reiss McNally has hailed the outstanding support of Pools fans ahead of this weekend's long journey to Aldershot Town.

Having kicked off their new National League campaign with a commanding 2-0 win over a Barrow side who were relegated from League Two last term, Pools supporters are gearing up to make the mammoth 478-mile round trip to Aldershot's Recreation Ground on Saturday.

As so often, Lee Clark's side are expected to be backed by an impressive contingent of travelling Poolies, many of whom will be setting off to Hampshire in the early hours of Saturday morning and not making it back home until late at night.
