Pete Wild reveals 'difficult conversations' as Hartlepool United gear up for Hornchurch test

Hartlepool United head coach Pete Wild admits he's had some "difficult conversations" with his players this week.

Pools are looking to put a torrid week that saw them beaten in the National League Cup before being dumped out of the FA Cup by National League North side Marine behind them as they prepare to return to National League action with the visit of Hornchurch on Saturday.

Wild, who replaced Lee Clark as the club's head coach at the beginning of the month, didn't mince his words when he spoke to the media in the immediate aftermath of his side's latest ignominious FA Cup exit at the weekend.
