Pete Wild 'all in' at Hartlepool United

"I care, I care about winning football matches. When I come to a footie club, I'm all in. I want to be all in. If I'm all in, I need to show that, I need to show my emotions. I love winning football matches."

Head coach Pete Wild admits he's "all in" at Hartlepool United.

The 42-year-old took charge of Pools at the beginning of the month, replacing Lee Clark following the former Newcastle United, Sunderland and Fulham midfielder's dramatic resignation.

After Pools opted not to offer Nicky Featherstone, who had been in charge since October 2025, a new contract at the end of last season, the club began their hunt for the first permanent appointment since new owner Landon Smith completed his takeover from the controversial Raj Singh.

Having been linked with a whole host of names, Pools appeared to be closing in on a deal to appoint Lee Cattermole, only for negotiations to collapse at the 11th hour.
