Nicky Featherstone has his say on controversial former Hartlepool United owner Raj Singh

The 37-year-old, who made more than 450 appearances at Victoria Park and took charge of the first team between October and May last season, is better placed than most to reflect on Singh's tumultuous tenure in the North East.

Singh, who sold the club to American businessman and investor Landon Smith earlier this year, is among the most contentious figures in Hartlepool United's recent history.

On the one hand, the 61-year-old stepped in to stave off the threat of looming administration and even potential footballing oblivion when he first took charge of Pools in 2018, committing around £1 million to stabilise the club's precarious financial situation.
