New Hartlepool United signing Brooklyn Ilunga revealed he is hoping to help Pools challenge for promotion next season after agreeing a two-year deal at Victoria Park.
The versatile 22-year-old, who can operate at full-back, wing-back or in a more advanced role, became new head coach Lee Clark's third summer signing following the high profile arrivals of Jordan Hugill and Jack Nolan, who scored 19 goals in 40 games for Morecambe last season.
