New Hartlepool United assistant head coach Adam Clayton has vowed to do "everything I can" to help Pools succeed after signing a two-year contract at Victoria Park.

The 37-year-old, who made more than 500 senior appearances across a career spanning almost two decades, reunites with new Pools head coach Lee Clark having played under him at Huddersfield.

The former midfielder is set to work alongside Clark as well as Pools legend Gary Liddle as the club look to propel themselves back to the Football League.
