Nathan Sheron relieved following Forest Green Rovers win as Hartlepool United look to put 'tough' start to season behind them

"For me, I know full well that I've got to be better, everyone's got to be better, we've all got to be better."

Nathan Sheron admits recent criticism of Hartlepool United's midfield has been "tough".

The 29-year-old marked his 100th appearance by ending a run of 35 games without scoring during Saturday's much-needed 4-2 victory over managerless Forest Green Rovers, bagging a brace as Pools secured their first win under new head coach Pete Wild.

Having put the visitors 2-0 up three minutes into the second half, Sheron made sure of the points with a superb strike from distance late on, latching onto a loose ball, driving forward and lashing a venomous effort into the top corner as Pools ended a dismal run of six successive defeats.
