Hartlepool United midfielder Nathan Sheron admitted he and his Pools teammates were "buzzing" following Saturday's much-needed 4-2 win over Forest Green Rovers.

Pools ended a dismal run of six successive defeats in Gloucestershire at the weekend, lifting themselves out of the National League relegation zone in the process.

Significantly, Saturday's victory was the first win since Pools appointed Pete Wild as the club's new head coach earlier this month following Lee Clark's dramatic resignation in September.

Having been touted as possible title contenders ahead of the campaign, Pools won each of their opening two matches without conceding before a run of nine losses in 10 games saw them plummet down the table and into the bottom four.
