New Hartlepool United signing Liam Gibson has vowed to "give absolutely everything" after he became the club's 11th new recruit on Tuesday.

The experienced defender, who arrives with more than 170 Football League appearances to his name, has penned a one-year deal at Victoria Park, with the club holding an option of a further 12 months.

The 29-year-old, who was born in County Durham, had been training with Pools since the start of pre-season and impressed head coach Lee Clark during Saturday's 3-0 win over Northern League Division Two side Seaton Carew.
