Pools, who were touted as potential National League title contenders ahead of the new campaign, have endured a difficult start to the season, losing four of their last seven matches.

Having welcomed 14 new signings over the summer before winning each of their opening two games without conceding, a dramatic slump in form has seen Pools slip to 14th in the table.

While it's true that Pools haven't been helped by a flurry of injuries to the likes of highly-rated goalkeeper Max Merrick, influential defender Maxim Kouogun and winger Corey McKeown, performances have left a lot to be desired of late.
