Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark insists returning to the transfer market "is not always the answer" as Pools look to end a run of three successive defeats.
Pools are bidding to bounce back from a dismal recent run when Clark's side entertain Woking, who have themselves endured an up-and-down start to the new National League campaign, on Saturday.
While it's probably too early to push the panic button, Saturday's game is starting to feel a bit like a game Pools simply have to win, especially if they're serious about challenging for promotion this term.
Having begun the season with back-to-back victories over Barrow and Aldershot Town, a run of three defeats in a row has seen Pools slump to 14th in the National League table.
