Head coach Lee Clark is hoping Hartlepool United can start to build some momentum ahead of Friday night's trip to Kidderminster Harriers.

Pools ended a dismal run of three successive defeats thanks to a narrow victory over strugglers Woking at the weekend and Clark's side will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in Worcestershire.

Having been touted as potential title challengers ahead of the new National League campaign, Pools won each of their first two matches without conceding before three defeats in a row saw them slump to 14th in the table.

After going down 2-1 to a physical Sutton United side in South London, Pools were condemned to their second successive defeat by Nelson Khumbeni's thunderous 97th minute strike against Eastleigh after having Neo Eccleston controversially sent off.
