Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark insists Pools are not currently interested in a deal to bring free agent Dan Batty to Victoria Park.
The experienced midfielder has been training with the PFA this summer having been released by York City at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
The former Hull City and Fleetwood Town man, who also spent a brief spell on loan with Halifax Town in 2017, signed for the Minstermen in August 2023 and would go on to establish himself as a popular figure at the York Community Stadium.
Indeed, the 26-year-old made 108 appearances for York and featured 42 times, scoring once, as the Minstermen were crowned National League champions last term after edging out Rochdale on one of the most dramatic final days in living memory.
