Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark admits Max Merrick is likely to be out "for a few weeks at least".
The young goalkeeper, who has made such an impressive start to his Pools career, was forced off 32 minutes into Saturday's much-needed 1-0 win over Woking following a recurrence of a thigh injury he picked up earlier in the campaign.
Having signed on a season-long loan from Premier League heavyweights Chelsea in July, the 20-year-old made a stellar start to his Pools career, keeping back-to-back clean sheets in his first two National League appearances.
In particular, Merrick has drawn widespread praise for his confidence, command of his area and his conviction when coming for crosses, with Clark hailing him as "an outstanding goalkeeper" as well as "a class above".
