Head coach Lee Clark insists Hartlepool United are "determined to put things right" following their recent run of poor results ahead of Saturday's visit of Woking.
Having won each of their opening two games this season, a run of three successive defeats has seen Pools slump to 14th in the National League table.
After being talked up as possible title challengers ahead of the new campaign, Pools find themselves with a lot of ground to make up on some of their potential promotion rivals and can ill-afford any more slip-ups, even at this early stage in the season.
Indeed, Clark's side are already seven points behind league leaders Boreham Wood, who have won four and drawn one of their opening five matches, while Carlisle United, who began the campaign as the favourites to be crowned champions, look to be hitting their stride following a stuttering start.
