Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark has been discussing the club's decision to take part in next season's National League Cup.
The competition, which involves 16 National League teams as well as 16 Premier League 2 sides, has split opinion ever since its re-introduction ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
While a version of the National League Cup existed for 22 seasons between 1979/80 and 2000/01, several attempts to revive it failed prior to its return in 2024.
