Lee Clark confident Hartlepool United making good progress in pursuit of new number one goalkeeper and left-back

Having released 13 players at the end of another underwhelming National League campaign in May, Pools have welcomed 10 new recruits to Victoria Park so far this summer.

Indeed, Pools look to have enjoyed an extremely productive summer in the transfer market up to this point, with the club fending off significant competition to secure several statement signings including the likes of prolific striker Will Harris, who scored 25 goals in 46 games for Halifax Town last term and was on target as Clark's side made a winning start to their pre-season campaign at the weekend, and Jack Nolan, fresh from an outstanding individual campaign with Morecambe.
