"They haven't jumped at any of those yet. To me, that's a good sign because it shows they aren't just going to go and sign any goalkeeper, they've probably got their eye on a certain few and I'm sure there have been plenty of conversations with them this summer."

Former Hartlepool United forward Jonathan Franks feels it's "vital" Pools sign a "proven number one goalkeeper" ahead of the new season.

With less than a month to go until the 2025/26 campaign kicks off - Pools will begin the season at home to relegated Barrow after the National League fixtures were published on Friday morning - Lee Clark's side are still on the hunt for a new first choice in-between the sticks.
