Jermaine Francis has been reflecting on his relationship with the "special" Hartlepool United fans as he prepares for a reunion with his former side on Saturday.

Although the 24-year-old attacker admits he's hoping to get one over on Pools this weekend with Sutton United, Francis has fond memories of the strong bond he formed with supporters at Victoria Park last season.

Having found himself surplus to requirements at National League champions Barnet at the end of the 2024/25 campaign despite a blistering spell on loan with Braintree Town, scoring eight times in 30 appearances, Francis left the Bees to join Pools in July for an undisclosed fee.
