"At the end of the day, they've got quality but so have we. I think they've got more quality now than they did last year, but we've improved a lot too. We'll see what happens on Saturday."

Former Hartlepool United winger Jermaine Francis is hoping to inspire Sutton United to victory over his former side as Pools prepare to travel to South London on Saturday.

The 24-year-old scored three times in 22 appearances for Pools in the first half of the 2025/26 season before completing a permanent move to Gander Green Lane in January.

Having signed for Pools in the summer of 2025 following a successful spell on loan at Braintree Town, finding the net eight times in 30 matches, the Grenadian international made a strong start to life at Victoria Park and quickly endeared himself to supporters thanks to his hard work and full-blooded approach.
