Hartlepool United club president Jeff Stelling believes Lee Clark's substitutions "totally changed the game" during Saturday's 1-0 win over Aldershot Town.
Pools, who were looking to secure back-to-back victories in Hampshire having got the better of Barrow on the opening day of the new National League season, found things tough going in the first half at Aldershot's Recreation Ground and were second best for large parts of the opening period.
In particular, Pools struggled to get to grips with the home side's lively wingers Hakeem Sandah and Basil Tuma while the Shots dominated much of the midfield battle, with former Eastbourne Borough and Chelmsford City man Dominic Odusanya pulling the strings in the engine room.
