Hartlepool United's honorary president Jeff Stelling has been full of praise for Pools' transfer business so far.
Stelling, who is one of the country's most recognisable and well-respected broadcasters best known for his 29 years at the helm of the Sky Sports show Gillette Soccer Saturday, hailed the signing of Halifax Town frontman Will Harris as "a massive coup".
The sought-after 25-year-old, who scored an impressive 25 goals in 46 games for the Shaymen last season, became the club's seventh summer signing over the weekend before Brighton and Hove Albion defender Charlie Penman arrived as Lee Clark's side's eighth new recruit on Sunday.
Although there is still some uncertainty surrounding the deal for Harris - Halifax claimed to have triggered an extension to his contract earlier in the summer in a statement published on Saturday, while the frontman's representatives have suggested the clause wasn't activated until after his initial deal had expired, rendering it meaningless - the former Sunderland, Gateshead and Spennymoor Town forward was pictured with his new teammates when Pools returned for pre-season training on Monday.
