Midfielder Jamie Miley is hoping he can help inspire Hartlepool United to promotion from the National League this season.
However, the 22-year-old insists that Pools aren't getting ahead of themselves despite their encouraging start to the new campaign as Lee Clark's side focus on taking things "game by game".
Certainly, Pools have made a positive start to the 2026/27 season, winning both of their first two matches without conceding.
Having got the better of an extremely combative and physical Barrow side on the opening weekend, Pools survived a late scare to edge past a spirited Aldershot Town outfit last week.
