Hartlepool United head coach Pete Wild has vowed to field a strong team ahead of this weekend's FA Cup fourth qualifying round clash at home to National League North side Marine.

Pools are looking to banish recent bad memories of England's oldest and most historic cup competition when they host a Mariners side who are unbeaten in all of their last six matches on Saturday.

Pools have a chequered record in the FA Cup in recent years having reached the fourth round in the 2021/22 campaign, setting up a lucrative trip to Premier League Crystal Palace, but being dumped out at the fourth qualifying round stage in each of the last three seasons.
