Hartlepool United's head of recruitment Chris Beech reflects on summer signings so far

Beech, who scored 27 goals in 104 games at Victoria Park during his playing days, was appointed as the club's new head of recruitment in May as Pools look to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the National League title next term.

Pools appear to have made an extremely encouraging start to their summer business, welcoming nine new recruits so far including the statement signings of Will Harris, who scored 25 goals in 46 games for Halifax Town last season, and Jack Nolan, fresh from an outstanding individual campaign with Morecambe.
