A number of National League North and Northern Premier League clubs are interested in signing young Hartlepool United striker Josh Donaldson on loan, according to reports.
According to the Hartlepool Mail, the 20-year-old could well be set to spend the first part of next season away from Victoria Park, with Pools weighing up a decision on his future.
The youngster signed for Pools in July 2025 after impressing on trial last summer following his departure from Newcastle United.
Despite showing plenty of promise in pre-season, Donaldson was shipped out on loan to Northern Premier League Division One East side Dunston UTS last term. While he struggled with injuries at times, Donaldson proved a popular figure at Wellington Road, scoring 13 goals in 26 matches including a hat-trick during an emphatic FA Trophy win over Brighouse Town.
