Hartlepool United legend Brian Honour revealed he was "absolutely delighted" to have been appointed the club's new matchday ambassador.
Honour, who made 384 appearances for Pools and was part of the memorable 1990/91 promotion-winning side, returned to Victoria Park in an official capacity last month following productive talks with the club.
The hugely popular former midfielder, who was voted as the supporters' player of the year on four separate occasions during his time in the North East, is set to "play a key role in the matchday experience at Victoria Park throughout the season".
