Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark was "delighted" with the "terrific" Kian Foreman and Josh Donaldson after the pair impressed against Pools during Tuesday night's pre-season friendly with Hebburn Town.
In a slightly unusual situation, both Foreman and Donaldson lined up against their parent club having signed on loan for the Hornets earlier this month.
While Donaldson impressed with an energetic display, the influential Foreman scored Hebburn's opening goal as Clark's side ran out eventual 3-2 winners in an engaging contest.
Both men are set to spend the first half of the season at the Trustmark Group Stadium, with Hebburn gearing up for life in the National League North having been crowned Northern Premier League Premier Division champions last term.
