A Halifax Town expert has had his say on the "extraordinary" Will Harris saga.

Hartlepool United announced the signing of the sought-after frontman, who scored an impressive 25 goals in 46 games for Halifax last season, on Saturday.

The deal represents a major coup for Pools, who are understood to have fended off significant competition for the 25-year-old's signature.

Yet in a remarkable turn of events, Halifax published a statement of their own suggesting that "contrary to a recent announcement from another party, FC Halifax Town can confirm it holds the player registration for the player, Will Harris.
