Former Hartlepool United promotion-winner believes new goalkeeper should be top of club's summer wish list

Hartlepool United legend Micky Barron believes a new first choice goalkeeper should be at the top of Lee Clark's list of priorities this summer.
Having used three different goalkeepers in the 2024/25 season, Pools had a remarkable four different stoppers lining up in-between the sticks last term.
Pools began the season with excellent Hull loanee Harvey Cartwright as their first choice. Just when the 24-year-old looked like establishing himself as one of the National League's hottest properties, keeping seven clean sheets in his first 13 games and impressing with his confidence, command of his area and shot-stopping, however, he was forced to return to his parent club following a serious injury sustained against rivals Carlisle in October.
