Former Hartlepool United manager Nicky Featherstone 'very proud' of time in charge of Pools

The 37-year-old, who is the club's third highest appearance maker of all time, was at the helm of Pools between October and May last season but was not offered a contract extension following a review by specialist football consultancy firm Bromby and Partners.

Featherstone, who revealed he has held talks with Pools about the prospect of remaining at Victoria Park in a coaching capacity, led his side to a ninth placed finish having won 14, drawn eight and lost 12 of his 34 matches in the dugout.
