Hartlepool United legend Micky Barron admits he "wasn't surprised" Pools opted not to offer a new deal to former manager Nicky Featherstone.

Although Featherstone, who replaced Simon Grayson in the dugout last October, repeatedly stated his desire to remain in the Pools hotseat ahead of the 2026/27 season, he was not offered a new contract and has since been replaced by Lee Clark.
