Former Hartlepool United attacker Jonathan Franks admits he's been "really impressed" by the club's summer recruitment so far.

Having released 13 players at the end of another underwhelming National League campaign in May, Pools appear to have made excellent progress this summer as Lee Clark's side look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.
