Former Hartlepool United attacker Jonathan Franks 'really impressed' with club's summer recruitment so far

Having released 13 players at the end of another underwhelming National League campaign in May, Pools appear to have made excellent progress this summer as Lee Clark's side look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.

Pools have welcomed 10 new recruits to Victoria Park, including the statement signings of Will Harris, who scored 25 goals in 46 games for Halifax Town last term, and Jack Nolan, fresh from an outstanding individual campaign with Morecambe.
