Former Hartlepool United striker Danny Johnson has signed for National League North side Spennymoor Town.

The experienced attacker endured a torrid campaign with Pools last term, failing to score in 30 matches in all competitions.

The 33-year-old signed for Pools in July 2025 as part of the club's efforts to replace the talismanic Mani Dieseruvwe, who scored 42 goals in 86 games during a prolific spell at Victoria Park.
