Former Hartlepool United striker Danny Johnson has signed for National League North side Spennymoor Town.
The experienced attacker endured a torrid campaign with Pools last term, failing to score in 30 matches in all competitions.
The 33-year-old signed for Pools in July 2025 as part of the club's efforts to replace the talismanic Mani Dieseruvwe, who scored 42 goals in 86 games during a prolific spell at Victoria Park.
Alongside Alex Reid, Pools had been hoping that Johnson would be able to provide the goals lost in the wake of Dieseruvwe's departure but the frontman never got going throughout an extremely challenging spell in the North East.
