Winger Corey McKeown revealed he was "absolutely, absolutely buzzing" after scoring the winning goal in Hartlepool United's hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aldershot Town on Saturday.

Having been introduced from the bench by head coach Lee Clark, McKeown took advantage of some statuesque Aldershot defending to steal across the back line and head home Brooklyn Ilunga's cross from close range, marking his debut with the winning goal in Hampshire.

Indeed, McKeown's introduction was one of a number of influential changes made by Clark as Pools maintained their perfect start to the new National League season in scorching hot conditions.
