Chris Maxwell has been discussing Hartlepool United's decision to replace Nicky Featherstone with the "fantastic" Lee Clark as the club's head coach.
Former Wrexham, Fleetwood Town and Blackpool goalkeeper Maxwell was brought to the North East in March when new owner Landon Smith hired Bromby and Partners, a specialist football consultancy firm, to help oversee the club's development.
Since then, Maxwell and Smith have had a whole host of significant decisions to make, not least the one in the dugout.
Featherstone, who is the club's third highest appearance maker of all time and began the 2025/26 campaign still registered as a player, replaced Simon Grayson, initially on an interim basis, following his sudden sacking in October.
