Hartlepool United head coach Pete Wild has admitted that his first 12 months at Victoria Park are likely to require some "crisis management".

The former Oldham Athletic, Halifax Town, Barrow, Fleetwood Town and Tranmere Rovers boss has endured a challenging start to life in the North East, losing three of his first four matches.

Having been edged out at home by Tamworth in his first game in charge - admittedly, the 42-year-old had only been appointed on the Thursday of the week leading up to the game, meaning he had a solitary training session to get to grips with his new squad - Pools secured a much-needed 4-2 win over Forest Green Rovers, a result that lifted them out of the National League relegation zone.
