Campbell Darcy has returned to Hartlepool United after the defender was recalled from his loan spell with National League North side Spennymoor Town.

The versatile 20-year-old, who can operate at full-back, centre-half or in a more advanced midfield role, joined the Moors in July on a deal that was meant to run until January, featuring in all of the first six games of the new campaign at The Brewery Field.

However, the youngster was recalled by Pools last week following a string of defensive injuries, with both Cameron John and Maxim Kouogun ruled out ahead of Saturday's much-needed win over Woking.
