Hartlepool United youngster Campbell Darcy is determined to force his way into the Pools first team after penning a new one-year deal at Victoria Park.
Fans had been speculating on the 20-year-old's future ever since Pools revealed they had entered into discussions over a new contract in May.
After appearing in the club's opening pre-season friendlies, the versatile defender, who can operate at right-back, centre half or in defensive-midfield, has committed his future to Pools for another season.
Having come through the Pools academy, Darcy made his senior debut aged 16 in an FA Cup clash against Stoke City in January 2023 before signing his first professional contract later that year.
