Aldershot Town expert backs 'fearless' Shots to cause Hartlepool United problems

"The way Scotty sums up his new, young, hungry squad is that they are fearless. That might come with naivety at times, so the Shots might find themselves on the end of a heavy defeat in the opening weeks, that could happen."

Aldershot Town expert Rob Worrall believes the "fearless" Shots can cause Hartlepool United problems this weekend.

That said, Worrall, who covers the Shots for BBC Radio Surrey, admits the Hampshire side are expecting "a really stern test" against well-fancied Pools.

Both teams made winning starts to their new National League campaigns on the opening weekend, with Pools producing a commanding performance to get the better of Barrow thanks to strikes from Will Harris and Jack Nolan.

The Shots, meanwhile, have been tipped by many to struggle this term but pulled off one of the opening day's most surprising results, edging past Boston United 1-0 thanks to a 59th minute effort from former Maidstone United man John Gilbert.
