Pete Wild feels 'fine margins' and refereeing decisions made the difference in Hartlepool United's defeat to AFC Fylde

"There were a few frustrating moments and fine margins, I think we should have had a clear penalty in the first half. It's not even debatable. You get that, you score that and it's then 2-0 and you're in the ascendancy. That's a key moment that hasn't gone our way."

Pete Wild felt "fine margins" made the difference after three quickfire second half goals condemned Hartlepool United to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of AFC Fylde on Tuesday evening.

Having taken the lead after just three minutes through Will Harris, who scored for the fourth time in seven league appearances, Pools looked to be heading towards what would have been their third consecutive National League victory.

Although the Coasters, who came into the game having lost four of their previous six matches, dominated the ball after Pools went in front, the visitors looked well-organised, resolute and difficult to break down.
