Three second half goals condemned Hartlepool United to their first defeat in three National League games as Pools were beaten 3-1 by AFC Fylde on Tuesday night.

Having taken the lead after just three minutes through Will Harris, Pools led for most of the game but were undone late on when Luke McCormick, Millar Matthews-Lewis and Jack Morris denied Pete Wild's side what would have been a third consecutive National League victory.

Pools looked solid and difficult to break down for large parts of the evening but a couple of late lapses of concentration proved costly as the Coasters, who had lost four of their previous six league matches, turned the game on its head late on.
