Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark was left frustrated after Tuesday night's 4-2 pre-season win over Northern Premier League Premier Division side Redcar Athletic "got totally out of hand".

Having cruised past Northern League Division Two outfit Seaton Carew on Saturday, Pools travelled to Green Lane looking to build on an encouraging start to their pre-season campaign.

While there were plenty of positives from another promising attacking performance, there were concerns over Redcar's combative approach during a feisty midweek encounter.
