Hartlepool United head coach Lee Clark was proud of his side's "inspirational" performance following their agonising 1-0 defeat at home to Eastleigh on Friday night.
Pools looked to be on the cusp of a battling point having played almost the entire second half with 10 men following Neo Eccleston's controversial dismissal, only for a brilliant long range strike from Nelson Khumbeni to deny Clark's side in the seventh and final minute of added time.
Having shaded a tight first half, Pools were reduced to 10 players a minute after the break when Eccleston, who started the game on the right flank having lined up at full-back during last week's defeat to Sutton United, was dismissed following two quickfire yellow cards.
