Hartlepool United have named a strong starting XI ahead of Saturday's pre-season game against Fleetwood Town.

Pools, who have won four and lost one of their first five warm-up games, are looking to end a positive summer on a high note against a Fleetwood side who finished 15th in League Two last term.

Head coach Lee Clark has named a team that could well prove similar to the one he picks for next Saturday's National League season opener against Barrow, who were relegated at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

That said, highly rated winger Jack Nolan, one of a whole host of high profile new additions this summer, is not set to feature against the Fishermen having undergone a fitness test ahead of kick-off.
